Here's what you can do.


Well wider the back the more heavy a person looks. Its your back that gives you bulky look to your upper body. Today i will be talking about the most basic exercise to get your upper back in shape. No heavy weight is required in these exercises. All you need to do is lift moderate weight with high repetitions. High repetitions doesn't mean 25, 30, or 40 repetitions. No matter what exercise you do, if you are doing for high repetitions than it should not be more than 20. If you are doing more than 20 than you are just exhausting yourself & your muscle. Make your muscle work not exhaust.


Now with saying all that lets get started with the exercise that i brought for you & specially for those people who are just not ready to lift heavy weight.


1.)LAT-PULL DOWN BEHIND THE NECK


Lat pull down behind the neck is basic exercise if you want to get your upper back in shape. I myself did this exercise & still do it because it really gives me the contraction in my upper back that i need. Well this exercise also helps in improve your stability in your core & your lower back. One of the best exercises for your upper back that also improve your body posture.

HOW TO DO IT?


Sit on lat pull down machine. Put appropriate weight in machine. Now grab the bar by taking wide grip. If you take close grip it might involve your shoulders. Now pull down the bar almost at the level of your neck (BUT DON'T MAKE IT TOUCH TO YOUR NECK). Your back should be straight & do remember that no need to go too deep in the movement. Just do it as much you are comfortable in. Now while bringing it down squeeze your back as much as possible.


Slowly return the bar to its original position. Do this movement until your back gets all pumped up. Do not pull the bar with your shoulders or your elbows. it should be pulled down by your back only.

2.) ROPE PULL DOWN


Rope pull down is also one of the basic exercise to get your upper back in shape. One thing i personally like about this rope pull down is that it gives your back much satisfied contraction. This exercise is also to be done with light weight not heavy weight because today i am telling you about shaping your upper back.

HOW TO DO IT?


Make sure the rope is at the top of cross over machine. Now bend a little as if your about to catch a ball. Make sure your back is straight while doing the whole movement. Grab the rope & extend your arm at the level of your shoulders. Now pull the rope towards your lower abdomen while bending the elbow & squeeze your lats as much as you can.


Do this movement until your back gets all pumped up.
